City High Baseball Opens With Doubleheader Sweep of Davenport West

City High got the start it was looking for on Monday night.

The Little Hawks opened the season with a double header sweep of Davenport West in its season opener winning the opening game 5-3 and taking the nightcap 5-2.

Senior Bryce Frantz earned the win in the season opener tossing five scoreless innings and Brett McCleary came on to collect the save.

McCleary blasted a two-run home run to lead the City High offense in game one.

In the nightcap Riley Regennitter allowed one earned run in a complete game victory.

Travis Reyhons had a pair of hits in the second game to lead City High.
