City High Climbs One Spot in 3A Wrestling Rankings

City High climbed one spot to seventh in the first Class 3A state tournament rankings on 2018 released by The Predicament on Thursday.

The Little Hawks have a season-high seven wrestlers ranked in the top ten in the third set of rankings put out by the website.

Senior Jacob Dykes is top-ranked at 195 pounds and headlines the list of ranked Little Hawks.

Junior Kyle Hefley is fifth at 152 pounds and senior Wilfred Kadohou is sixth at 160 while Joey Harney is seventh at 138, Lance Bormann eighth at 132 and Ethan Wood-Finley is ninth at 106.

Junior heavyweight Jacob Murry entered the rankings for the first time at 10th.

West High has a trio of ranked wrestlers led by top-ranked senior Nelson Brands at 160 pounds.

Senior Ashton Stumpf is eighth at 170 and sophomore Will Hoeft is eighth at 182.

In Class 2A Solon has four wrestlers in the top ten led by third-ranked senior heavyweight Tyler Linderbaum.

Sophomore Zeb Gnida is fifth at 120, Mike Hoyle is seventh at 182 and Zach Wegmann is eighth at 220.

Regina has a pair of wrestlers ranked in Class 1A as senior 170-pounder Ryan Schott is seventh and junior Nick Milder is sixth at 182.
