West High Stays Atop Associated Press Class 4A Boys Basketball Pll

Even after its first loss of the season West High is still the top ranked team in the state.

West High (11-1) remained atop the latest Class 4A boys basketball poll released by the Associated Press on Monday despite its first loss of the season last week to Cedar Falls.

The defending 4A champion Trojans have been the top ranked team in 4A in every poll this season.

Cedar Falls climbed from ninth to fourth following its win over West High.

Sioux City East is second followed by Des Moines Hoover and Des Moines North is fifth.

Other top-ranked teams include Oskaloosa (3A), Western Christian (2A) and North Linn (1A).
