West High, City High Make Big Jumps in Girls Cross Country Rankings

West High and City High each made big jumps in the most recent Class 4A girls cross country rankings released on Tuesday by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

City High climbed four spots to No. 10 while West High jumped five spots to No. 5.

Johnston remained atop the 4A rankings followed by Waukee, Dubuque Senior, and Southeast Polk.

Solon climbed one spot to fifth in Class 3A while Regina held its spot at number three in Class 1A.

Other top-ranked teams include Dubuque Wahlert in Class 3A, Mid-Prairie in Class 2A and Logan-Magnolia in Class 1A.
