City High Sweeps West High in Cross-town Bowling Showdown

The King Pin and the Queen Pin are both headed back to City High.

City High swept West High in the annual cross-town bowling showdown on Tuesday at Colonial Lanes in Iowa City in the season opening match for both teams.

The City High girls snapped a two-match losing skid to West High with a 1,998-1,648 win.

Sophomore Carlie Prymek led City High with a 166 game and a 323 series while Kyle Rohm led West High with a 153 game and a 253 series.

The City High boys kept the King Pin for the second straight season with a 2,570-2,397 win.

Alex Javis led the way for City High rolling a high 242 game and a 411 series.

West High was led by Corey Roth who had a 238 game and the top series at 460.
