West Branch and West High Slip in AP Boys Basketball Poll

West High and West Branch each dropped in the latest boys Associated Press boys basketball poll released on Monday following their first losses of the season last week.

In the Class 4A poll West High (4-1) dropped from first to fifth while West Branch (7-1) slipped one spot to ninth in the Class 2A poll.

Waukee took over the top spot in Class 4A and is followed by North Scott, Ankeny, Davenport Central and West High in the top five.

Other top-ranked teams include Oskaloosa (3A), North Linn (2A) and Grand View Christian (1A).
