Regina Makes Season Debut in AP Boys Basketball Poll

Regina has ridden its 12-game winning streak straight into the Associated Press boys basketball rankings.

The Regals make this season debut in the Class 2A poll released by the Associated Press on Monday coming in at No. 8.

Regina (17-2) has won 12 straight games dating back to December 21 after picking up wins over rivals West Branch and Solon last week.

West High (13-3) remained fourth in Class 4A in Monday’s poll trailing North Scott, Waukee and Bettendorf.

Other top-ranked teams include Clear Lake (3A), North Linn (2A) and Grand View Christian (1A).
