Solon Holds Its Spot in 3A Baseball Rankings

Solon held its spot in the third rankings of the season released on Monday by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Rankings remaining sixth in Class 3A.

The Spartans opened the season at No. 7 in the 3A rankings before climbing a spot to sixth last week.

Solon (9-3) is joins third-ranked Central DeWitt and fifth-ranked Marion as WAMAC East Division squads to appear in the top 10.

West High (10-4) dropped two spots to sixth in the Class 4A rankings while City High (10-3) was one of four teams outside of the top 10 to receiving votes in Class 4A.

Top-ranked teams this week were Johnston (4A), Cedar Rapids Xavier (3A), Wilton (2A) and Mason City Newman (1A).
