The City High standout is one of 25 players from around the country named to the midseason watch list for the Girls High School Player of the Year award that is announced in March.
A three-time first-team all-state and Mississippi Valley Conference divisional player of the year selection, Joens is putting an exclamation point on an already stellar prep career with a remarkable senior season.

A 6-foot guard, Joens has scored at least 21 points in every game this season while helping top-ranked City High to a 12-0 record.
Joens has scored more than 30 points four times this season, including a school-record 44 last month and has nine double-doubles on the year including six straight.
Ranked as the No. 19 overall prospect in the Class of 2018 by ESPN Hoop Gurlz, Joens is shooting 64 percent from the field this season including a stagger 70 percent from 3-point range.
She adds 3.4 steals, 2.6 assists and 2.2 blocks per game.
